Getting out of a mommy slump

O.k. so for the passed week or so I've been making an effort to spend some time on myself. It seems like over the last month I've gotten into such a mommy slump. Luke's been busy to say the least and I have got caught up in being just mommy 24/7. I also miss my girlfriends like crazy. Thankfully I have Olivia or I would go insane! In an effort to cure this funk I'm in I've joined L.A fitness which offers child care. Whoohoo!! And I've also tried to pamper myself at least once a week. ( e.g a pedicure, facial, etc. ) L.A. fitness has been great!! They take great care of Landen and I get a great workout. While making an effort to pamper myself I have come across some great beauty products that I would love to share with all of you. The brand is called Avalon Organics (http://www.avalonorganics.com/) and they have a great skin care line. I have just started using their Vitamin C face cleanser and the CoQ10 perfecting toner. My skin has never looked better! I'm very impressed. I was using Arbonne before which I liked o.k., but I am LOVING this stuff. I am going to the gym with no makeup on my face and for those of you who really know me know that I would have never done that before. The products are wallet friendly too. And I was actually able to get them from the Commissary. Shocking, I know. So hopefully next time anyone sees me I will look a little more fit and a little less stressed.

Having Fun!

Our little kiddo is thoroughly enjoying all of his toys he got for his birthday. Currently his favorite is the tunnel GP got him. He was pretty hesitant at first but now we can't get him out of it!!

Watching morning cartoons has become more interesting the last few weeks, thank goodness. I'm finally getting a hot cup of tea/coffee in the morning before it is cold. I'm not advocating sticking your child in front of a t.v. all day, but sometimes an hour in the morning is just what a mommy needs to keep her sanity :)

Landen is finally crawling like a "normal" baby. For those of you who have seen Landen crawl in the past you know that he had this hysterical army crawl going on. It got the job done and got him where he wanted to go fast. But just this week he decided that he can use his hands to crawl too. He still reverts back to his slithering crawl every ones in a while but for the most part hands and knees it is.

Look at that cutie in the mirror.

I still can't believe Landen is 1. I meant to post this picture of him as a newborn with the birthday post but forgot. I look at the pictures above and then this one and just can't believe how much one grows in a years time. He is such a miracle and we thank God everyday for giving him to us.

Landen's 1!!!

I can't believe our baby is 1 already!!! Time is really flying!! Landen had a great birthday filled with lots of toys and lots of messy ice cream cake. The Fuglers and GP were able to share in the birthday festivities.

Mommy and Daddy even decided to get messy. :)

All this for me!!

YUMMMY!!!

Grandpa spoils him rotten! This is just one of the many toys GP got him. We later pimped it out with Harley Davidson stickers. He is now officially the coolest baby on the block. :)

Cubs game

The Cubs are here for spring training, so we decided to take Grandpa to go see them play. We have loved having GP here for a week and are going to be so sad when he has to leave.

Wave to the camera. :)

At the Zoo

The Monday before GG and Aunt Ashley left, we went to the Arizona Wildlife World Zoo. It was a beautiful day and Landen really enjoyed looking at all the different animals. We decided his favorites were the monkeys and the baby snapping turtles. He loved the snapping turtles because they were trying to bite his fingers through the glass. He got a huge kick out of it!! :)

At the petting zoo. He did not like the goats!! One tried to take his blankey and he had a fit. He wasn't about to let that happen. No one tries to take Landen's blankey!!

We got to feed a giraffe which Landen was not so sure about. He just looked at him in amazement wondering if he should be scared or not.

busy, busy, BUSY!!

We have been so busy the last couple of weeks. I have so many pictures to share!! We had GG and Aunt Ashley stay with us last week and Grandpa Phil (GP) stay with us this week. It has been so nice having family here for so long.
Since GG and Aunt Ashley came the week before Landen's birthday we decided to start the
b-day celebrations early. This kid is so spoiled but he is so worth it!!

Landen's new pool

Today, we set up Landen's new pool in the backyard. We could not believe how excited he was about splashing in the water. It's amazing the types of pools they have now. This things got a pump, filter, and cover, and you chemically treat it just like you would any other pool. It's really the next best thing to the "real" thing. It's even big enough for him to splash and play till his hearts content, and for me ( and a few girlfriends) to float on a raft and catch some rays. Bring it on, Arizona heat!

He loved the pool so much he was giving it kisses!

Look at that hair! Can you say little Rascal? :)
