You Know You're a Mommy of Two under the Age of Two When....

- You suprisingly have the ability to nurse the baby and change the other child's diaper at the same time. (Yes, I did do this yesterday, and I was quite impressed with myself.) :)
- You think getting 2 consecutive hours of sleep is a lot.
- You are lucky to get a shower before your husband gets home from work.
- You have to try and explain to the older child why the baby can touch "the boob" and he can't. (Sorry for the mental picture) And yes, Landen only can speak about 5 words and unfortunately "boob" is one of them.
- You look in the mirror and don't recognize yourself. Did this yesterday. Is that really me behind the greasy hair, the dark circles, spit up, and oh yes, snot? YIKES! And I have established that I really don't look good without makeup, especially mascara.
- You are counting down the seconds until your husband gets home from work, not because you can't wait to see him, but because your tired of being out numbered and you need someone to take a child!! Sorry honey, I do love seeing your handsome face when you come home, but not as much as your helpfulness at this point. :)
- You let your older child watch their favorite movies over and over again because it's easier than playing while trying to get laundry, dinner, etc. done at the same time. GUILTY! It's shameful, I know.
- You totally zone out on a complete conversation with someone (mainly, Luke..again sorry honey) due to sleep deprivation.
- You haven't even thought about sending out Thank You notes for all the cute outfits you've received from family and loved ones. Sorry if you are one of those people. I really appreciate all that everyone has done for us and they will get out the first chance I get, which at this point may be when Janna Lynn graduates. :)
- You feel blessed beyond words despite all the craziness that occurs in a day. This month has been difficult getting used to being a mommy of two, but it has also been the best month of my life. My life is truly wonderful. I have my amazing husband, my two beautiful children, and my faith in our Maker, Jesus Christ, which grows stronger each and everyday. Life is truly good despite the lack of sleep and craziness that comes with raising kids.

AMEN!!! Sounds like your life is quite similar to mine, but we wouldn't trade it for the world:)

I am really enjoying your blog! So glad to "reconnect" a bit. Aiden is just barely over 2 but I saw myself all over this post. especially the one about "the boob", letting the older child watch videos, and counting the seconds til your husband gets home. and I am quite impressed you could nurse and change a diaper at the same time. I don't think I'm quite ready for that one yet. :)
